Imagine a world where every property upgrade is a milestone for energy innovation. With Trim Tab, that future is within reach.
Specializing as an energy contractor, we adeptly combine air sealing, carpentry, HVAC, electrical and plumbing to boost your building’s durability, efficiency and indoor air quality.
A good audit ensures a good design, and a good design ensures a good installation.
We integrate these three processes to ensure an optimal outcome.
There are many resources available to finance a retrofit project.
Efficiency rebates. Capital project grants. Low-cost financing.
We connect you to these sources of funding, and handle the paperwork.
How do you know if your retrofit really results in less heat loss, lower bills, and better air quality?
We measure these outcomes as part of our retrofit scorecard.
Our deep energy retrofit weaves together essential elements to enhance your building’s efficiency: sealing for warmth and purity, ventilating for fresh air, strategically insulating for optimal benefit, and electrifying systems to tap into cleaner energy. This harmonious process not only elevates comfort but also aligns your space with environmental stewardship.
At TrimTab, we’re more than just contractors; we’re eco-visionaries committed to reinventing the way we live and work. With each energy retrofit, we turn traditional spaces into bastions of sustainability, merging cutting-edge building science with a passion for environmental stewardship. Our holistic approach not only enhances the here and now, but it also paves the way for a resilient and resourceful future. Join us in our quest to elevate everyday spaces into beacons of efficiency, health, and harmony, for our communities and the generations to follow.
Energy retrofits involve upgrading a building to reduce its energy use and transition it to cleaner sources of energy. Typically, these are upgrades to the building shell (or envelope) and its heating, cooling, and ventilation systems. A package of energy retrofits that aim to achieve substantial reductions in energy use is referred to as a deep energy retrofit.
The primary reasons for energy retrofits are to reduce energy bills, increase comfort and indoor air quality, and reduce the building’s carbon footprint.
Trim Tab is a contractor that specializes in all aspects of energy retrofitting. And modifying existing buildings is a complex process to ensure that all aspects of building performance are considered when making changes. Our service also ensures that solutions consider the “home-as-a-system,” by considering how each retrofit affects not just energy use, but also health, safety, and building durability.
Importantly, our one-call service also streamlines your experience as a single point of contact and accountability.
Yes, various government and utility rebate programs are available to incentivize energy retrofits. Our expertise at TrimTab includes guiding you through these available incentives to help offset the cost of your retrofit projects. We handle the application process and ensure you get the maximum financial benefits for your investment.
Energy retrofitting is not the top priority for every building. Energy retrofits are most appropriate for buildings that are free of health and safety issues (e.g. structural defects and hazardous materials) and adequately maintained. If this is not the case, then these issues should be addressed first before considering a deep energy retrofit.
